Esta es una pintura muy especial para mí. Me dice cosas muy ciertas sobre la muerte, la cual no es mas que una parte de nosotros mismos, siempre a nuestro lado…despierta, vigilante, esperando. Para mi la muerte no es el final, ni algo que representa un mal, es simplemente algo natural y es el comienzo del verdadero viaje…el viaje espiritual.

This painting is very special for me. It tells me things that are very true about dead. Dead is something that is part of all of us, it is always close to us, very awake, always vigilant and waiting. For me dead is not the end, neither something bad, it is just something very natural and it is the beginning of the real journeys… the spiritual journey.

Con respecto a la muerte, sigo teniendo un sentimiento muy infantil y no la entiendo, pero bueno supongo que con la primera ya se me pasará.

Powerful painting and sentiment. Have you read "House of the Spirits" by Isabel Allende? There is a phrase in there that said "La muerte no existe...le gente solo se muere cuando la olvidan". Sorry if I messed up the spanish! My spanish is rusty. But that phrase has always stayed with me.
