Blue-Butterfly Day

Blue-Butterfly Day

It is blue-butterfly day here in spring,
And with these sky-flakes down in flurry on flurry
There is more unmixed color on the wing
Than flowers will show for days unless they hurry.

But these are flowers that fly and all but sing:
And now from having ridden out desire
They lie closed over in the wind and cling
Where wheels have freshly sliced the April mire.

Robert Frost.
P.S. I will find more...and more.

Hi Belinda,

You know how much I love these natural paintings...branches, leaves, butterflies, etc. I love the way you have brought the branches through the "foil" layer...it is perfect!

This little butterfly is wonderful. And the poem is a lovely match!

Thank You!

The butterfly is often a metaphor for an earth-bound angel. Their delicate wings are also sylmbols of things exotic, ellusive and passionate. If held the wrong way, they slip away destroyed. Life and love are fragile butterfly wings that need delicate care, conservation and handling.
